Parasite Cleanse

But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. He looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being not a hearer who forgets, but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing. James 1:22-25

There was a time in my life when I was blessed to work with a Naturopath Doctor. I learned a great deal about natural health and healing from him in the two years I was able to shadow him and question him about all manner of health topics. One of the things I learned from him that immediately changed how I and my family chose to eat was the fact that no matter how high or long you cook pork, you cannot kill the parasites and pathogens that are within the flesh of the pig. Most people who eat pork end up with parasites, often within the brain.

Our family immediately quit eating pork! I knew why I should never eat it, and over the years I did go through several parasite cleanses. However, I never did do a parasite cleanse specifically aimed at parasites within the brain. I chose to believe it wasn’t necessary. A couple of decades later I began experiencing issues with my thinking and memory, as well as various other odd symptoms in my body. The holistic chiropractor I was seeing at the time diagnosed me with parasites within the brain and put me on a very specific cleanse.

The 3rd day of that cleanse I began having to blow my nose a great deal first thing each morning and quite often throughout the rest of each day of the cleanse. It was one of those times after blowing my nose that I looked in the tissue at what I had blown out of my sinuses. It was GROSS! There were multiple things in the tissue that looked like microscopic black threads! Honestly, until that moment I had not really believed that I had parasites in my brain. But I was faced with the reality of what had accumulated over years of eating pork and being exposed to other toxins. I suddenly had a great desire to simply keep blowing my nose right then until there were no longer any parasites to expel! ICK!!! GET THEM OUT OF MY BODY!!!

What does this have to do with our topic of healing and the mind? How does this relate to what we have been learning and discussing? I believe it is this: eating the pork allowed parasites to enter my body. Those parasites began affecting my brain and body in ways I did not want to experience. In order to change the situation, I had to undergo a cleanse. But not just any cleanse, a specific cleanse to address specific parasites. (Yes, I eventually quit blowing out those icky things).

Choosing to believe a lie allows lying spirits to gain access and authority into our lives. The lie is the pork and the lying spirits are the parasites. They will eventually affect your body, mind, and even spirit in ways you do not want to experience. Who wants to feel as if they have no worth? Who wants to be depressed? Who wants to experience anxiety attacks or insomnia? Who wants to experience acne, asthma, cancer, or any other of 700 diseases liked to the thought life? Who wants to be separated from oneself, from God, and from others? Who wants toxic relationships or toxic behavior patterns? Just as I did not want to experience the health issues I was experiencing while I had those parasites, none of us WANTS to experience any of those things that come with having lying spirits working within oneself. So, what do we do? We must choose to go through a CLEANSE!

What kind of cleanse? Well, we must be specific about which parasites we are desiring to expel from our lives and focus on cleansing from that specific parasite. Same with lying spirits. We must identify which ones have been allowed room in our mind and work to expel each one. We must repent for believing a lie over God’s word, break the authority of and cast out the specific lying spirit, and then come against that lie with TRUTH! (It is written…) Low self esteem? After choosing to expell that spirit, choose to replace it with truth such as found in Ps 139, and act in the worth you have in God’s eyes as stated in Eph 2:10. Fear? Joshua 1:9. Act in faith like those in Hebrews 11. Envy? James 1:17. Practice gratitude and praise. Heb 13:15. We must not only expel those spirits, but we must choose to stop acting out of those lies and begin behaving according to truth.

As with physical parasites, we must choose to continue to evaluate our thought life to be aware of any return (or attempted return) of those lies; acting immediately to prevent them from taking hold. Repent immediately when we act out of those old behaviors and lies. Speak and act in truth. And just as it would do very little good to have done the parasite cleanse if I had intended to continue eating pork, it will do very little good to do a spiritual and mental cleanse of the lying spirits if we do not firmly intend (choose) to walk in truth. Yeshua made it clear that if we leave the door open, those lying and evil spirits will return and our situation will be worse. (Matt 12:43-45)

This week I hope you will choose to take inventory of any parasites you may have, both in the body and in the mind. Ask YHWH to help you identify which lying spirits have been allowed to live within your mind and heart. Next week we will begin addressing specific lying spirits and some of their manifestations in our thought life and in our behaviors. As we go through each one, if you are convicted of having walked in agreement with any, use the exercise for capturing and changing your thoughts in order to begin the work of cleansing yourself of those parasites! Be sure to repent, cast out, and then use the specific truths that will eliminate the specific lies. Colossians 3 and James 1:22-25 are great places to start with your cleanse. May you rejoice as you see those parasites coming out of you, leaving you to be healthy and whole! HalleluYah!

When the unclean spirit has gone out of a person, it passed through waterless places seeking rest, and finding none it says, “I will return to my house from which I came.” And when it comes, it finds the house swept and put in order (but empty, not submitted wholly to God). Then it goes and brings seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they enter and dwell there. And the last state of the person is worse than the first. Luke 11:24-26
